Multicultural Festival Organized by Congressman John
Lewis, June 4, 2006.
Multicultural festival organized by
Congressman John Lewis was held at Grant Park Pavillion, on Sunday, June 4th from
12pm-5pm. The festival presented various countries, their food, music and dance.
Turkey was represented by Turkish food, Turkish folk dance, Turkish music and a beautiful exhibition.
The festival was organized by the office
of Congressman John Lewis, who formed a committee on Multicultural
initiatives in Atlanta and neighboring communities. The committee on
Multicultural Initiatives is dedicated to fostering an ongoing dialogue
between Congressman John Lewis and the diverse ethnic communities. The
Turkish Honorary Consul General of Georgia, Mona Diamond was invited to
serve on this committee and represented the Turkish community in this
endeavor.
We
